In the design, both old and new are celebrated.  The existing store-front façade of the old grocery store becomes the new light-filled lobby where students gather before and after classes.  The original wood posts and trusses were uncovered and gives a new industrial-modern atmosphere.  The passage from the gently curving front desk to the two-story service and administration area in back serves as not only a hall connecting three large studios, but a series of spaces where parents can watch their children practice without distracting them from their joyful work.  The simple spaces and finishes throughout become a quiet canvas that allow the dancers to shine.

The project was completed in 2014.
